At The Family Center, we frequently receive phone calls from individuals asking for help with issues related to parenting. Many parents are unsure how to achieve an appropriate balance of limits/boundaries and compassion/understanding. Parents of strong-willed children often have a particularly difficult time obtaining behavioral compliance. Many parents of teenagers struggle to keep the lines of communication open as their children experience the many challenges of adolescence. We provide treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and families, paying special attention to the unique needs of parents raising children in the fast-paced, achievement-oriented society in which we live.
